Update Your HEMC Account Information and You Could Win a $250 Credit!

Each quarter of 2015, Habersham EMC will draw the name of one lucky member who updated their account information and award a $250 credit on the member's electric bill.

 

How do you enter?

 

  • Update your account information, including:
    • Mailing address
    • Phone numbers
    • 911 address
    • Email address
    • Names of persons authorized to conduct business on your account(s)

 

Scammers Targeting Habersham EMC Members

Habersham EMC has been notified that some members have received telephone calls stating their power would be disconnected immediately unless they provided a credit card number for payment.

“Members should hang up at once and call Habersham EMC,” cautions Susan Baker, Member Care Program Manager.  "Customer service representatives can be reached at 706-754-2114, 706-865-4362 or 800-640-6812.”

 

Habersham EMC Introduces Payment Kiosks

To better serve members, Habersham EMC recently installed payment kiosks in two area convenience stores. HEMC members may now pay at Express Mart stores in Cleveland and Demorest.

Cantrell Named Interim CEO of Habersham Electric Membership Corporation

Habersham EMC Board of Directors Chairman Hugh Rucker announced this morning that Jonathan Cantrell has been selected to serve as Interim CEO.

HEMC Youth Tour Delegate Wins Nationwide Grant Contest

Nicole Dover, Washington Youth Tour Coordinator at Habersham EMC, today announced that Morgan West from Cleveland has won a nationwide student service project grant contest. With the $500 student service project grant, West will support the Secret Closet initiative established at White County High School.

Announcement from Hugh Rucker, Chairman, Board of Directors

Todd Pealock, CEO of Habersham EMC has resigned as CEO effective September 29, 2014 to seek other interests and opportunities. The HEMC board of directors wants to thank Mr. Pealock for his many years of exceptional service to the co-op and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
